The Morland Community Hub is located within the central area of five social housing estates, in the heart of Highbridge, Somerset. It is operated by the Sedgemoor Community Partnership, as a charity. The Hub was built in 1982, firstly as a disability living centre but over the years has evolved into a community asset. It is a place where the community come seven days a week, to engage, create, learn and support each other. The Hub hires out its spaces to support groups, families, agencies and other organisations to run events and classes.

The competition offers community projects in Bristol, BANES, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire or Gloucestershire the chance to win a prize of £1,000 along with the prestige that the endorsement brings.
Jane told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This year the Morland Community Hub in Highbridge is incredibly proud to have received the Highly Commended award for its many years of outstanding work within the local community.”
