Highbridge and Burnham Trusted Care Network
Based and run at the Morland Community Hub, the Highbridge and Burnham Trusted Carers Network is a project run by locals for locals. Community organisations, businesses and residents have come together to build a network of people who care about and care for those that live within our communities. Together we are forming community cohesion and ensuring those that live amongst us that need a little bit of help, gain it from local trusted people.
We have a local network of very small providers of care or support services in and around Highbridge, Burnham and the surrounding villages. This might include services and supports that offer people help to:
· Undertake their personal care
· Manage their home or garden
· Get out and about to do things like shopping, hospital etc
· Meet friends, pursue hobbies or to work.
We also have a team of community volunteers who are the eyes and ears of our neighbourhoods that assist in building bonds within their own streets, to ensure that we find those that need support and are able to offer it to them.
Local businesses who believe in community responsibility are also working on this project with us to engage with and support their local communities.
