Community Pantry

About Us

The Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea (HBos) Local Pantry is a community project run by Morland Community Hub and Burnham-on-Sea Baptist Church.  We work in partnership with food charity FairShare South West.

Each week we buy food from FairShare who work with large food producers and supermarkets to ensure good, fresh (but essentially surplus) food is not wasted.  They take the food directly from their partners before it even reaches supermarkets, sort it in their warehouse and deliver to communities across the country.

We also work with local retailers and food producers to take their surplus food and make it available to our members. 

​

By choosing to become a member you are saving perfectly good food from going to waste, and also saving money.  Membership costs just £3.50 a week and you receive a mix of fresh, chilled, and ambient goods worth up to £25.00.

This Local Pantry is funded by Somerset County Council and supported by Sedgemoor District Council.
